About me

I’m Amina Kabiru Audu, a Library and Information Science student, youth leader, gender equality advocate, and educator from Taraba State, Nigeria.

I’m passionate about open knowledge, digital inclusion, and community development—values that drive my work both within and beyond the Wikimedia movement. My goal is to use information and education as tools for social transformation, particularly for young people and women in underserved communities.

My work

I’m an active Wikimedian with strong experience in cotent creation, editing, and community development.

  • I contribute to various Wikimedia projects by:
  • Improving and creating articles related to education, gender equality, and African biographies.
  • Supporting community engagement and capacity-building programs that encourage participation in Wikimedia from Taraba and other parts of Nigeria.
  • Advocating for knowledge equity and the inclusion of underrepresented voices in free knowledge spaces.

Awards

  • Winner of Wikivibrance International Youth Day (IYD) project, Northeast Zone.
  • Winner of Wikipedia Training for Taraba Wikimedians contest.
