Ondo State
Ondo na one state wey dey for southwest Nigeria. Dem kriet am on 3 February 1976 from the former Western State. [1]Ondo share boundary wit Ekiti State for north, Kogi State for northeast (about 45 km), Edo State for east, Delta State for southeast (about 36 km), Ogun State for southwest (about 179 km), Osun State for northwest (about 77 km), and Atlantic Ocean dey for south. The capital of the state na Akure, wey be former capital of the old Akure Kingdom.[2] The state get mangrove swamp forest area wey close to Bight of Benin.[3]
Di oda name dem dey call Ondo State “Sunshine State”. Na the 18th most populated state for Nigeria,[4] and na the 25th biggest state by land size.[5] Plenty people wey dey there na Yoruba, [6][7]and Yoruba language na wetin dem dey speak pass. Cocoa farming, agriculture, asphalt mining, and activities wey connect to the long coastline of the state na part of their economy. The state also get Idanre hills (inselberg), wey be the highest point for western Nigeria, over 1,000 metres high.

The main government universities wey dey Ondo State na Federal University of Technology, Akure; Ondo State University of Science and Technology, Okitipupa; University of Medical Sciences, Ondo; and Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko.
